Stress, Wellbeing and the Transformational Manager: A Strategy for
Preventing Stress in the Workplace
With sickness, absence and staff turnover rates continuing
to increase throughout the UK, can your organisation afford to ignore the
well being and mental health of your employees?
The work of the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) in the area of stress
at work has had a significant impact in raising awareness about the causes
and effect of stress and mental distress at work. However stress
at work continues to rise.
Research into stress management in the workplace indicates that symptoms
can be temporarily relieved, but without 'transformation of the
workplace culture' through delivery of effective manager behaviours,
the stressed employee becomes demotivated, ineffective, careless and
then takes sick leave and ultimately quits his employment at huge cost
to the employer.
This training session delivers a training solution that will contribute
to reducing the risk of stress at work whilst complying with HSE management
standards. Delivered by a senior facilitator, this training session
is designed to give managerial participants the skills, knowledge and experience
to build resilience to stress and sustain mental wellbeing with techniques
that can be applied on return to the workplace.
