Mentoring a Chief Executive - a Health Board
in the EC
Individual coaching and mentoring is undertaken on a regular basis from CEO level and below and includes both academic support and crisis support at times of tension.
Business development - UK
OrganisationHealth supports a number of companies in the human aspects of organisations, such as employment assistance programmes and absence management programmes. The nature of the advice is on reviewing the business purpose, strategy, business model and marketing. We have also been invited to review organisational architecture and the rules for managing businesses in order to introduce greater opportunities for commitment and trust between employers and their employees through the development of managers in their relationships with staff.
Leadership programme - UK accredited at masters
level
We have developed, and had accredited, with a UK University a postgraduate level
leadership programme for people from Black Minority and Ethnic communities. This
certificate offers 60 CATS and covers the six aspects of leadership which influence
the ways in which leaders act - the self, the leader, the emerging leader, the
context, the followers and the judges. This year-long programme, undertaken in
6 two day modules plus one day per month action research and learning sets plus
a project, is designed to enable change to take place in the workplace. Whilst
the programme was designed for BME participants, the content is the same for
all middle managers looking to develop their understanding and application of
leadership skills.
